Amir Mateen is a young shooter and a prodigy that was born in Mumbai, India. He learned the game of cricket since he was a little kid, and because of his love for this sport, he became a member of the Mumbai Indians Cricket team in the Indian Premier League in 2012. He continued to practice cricket and eventually won the Rising Star Award for the 2013 Indian Premier League season. Amir Mateen started to learn shooting at the age of 7 in a small workshop under the guidance of his uncle. He had been playing the game since he was 10, in a local basketball team. In 2013 he won the Rising Star award and the National Shooting Cup in his first competition. In 2015 he won the National Shooting Championship. Then he turned 18 and started to join the famous Indian reality show “Shooting India”. With his great results in shooting he became the record holder in many International Shooting events.
